This page explains the distinction between FWA membership, Customer Account access, the Member Portal, professional credentials, LicenseCheck verification and regulatory authority.

RegulatorAuthoritative licensing decisions

Does membership provide a petroleum licence?

No. Membership does not constitute a licence, regulatory approval or certification.

Who may purchase Licensed membership?

Licensed membership is intended for qualifying businesses holding petroleum wholesale licences and remains subject to review.

What is the difference between the two accounts?

Customer Account manages orders and payments. Member Portal provides approved resources, updates and support.

Is LicenseCheck the same as membership?

No. LicenseCheck is a separate verification layer with its own scope and methodology.

Can FWA guarantee a regulator’s decision?

No. FWA is not the petroleum licensing authority and cannot guarantee regulatory outcomes.

How do I contact the correct team?

Use the FWA contact form and select the relevant enquiry type for routing.

When does the included Licensed Member short course become available?

The first eligible included short course becomes available after 90 days of active Licensed membership. One further eligible short course may be claimed every 90 days thereafter while the membership remains active.

What is the FWA Verified Wholesaler Member badge?

It is a digital membership badge available to qualifying active Licensed Wholesaler Members after their petroleum wholesale-licence evidence has been verified. It confirms verified FWA Licensed membership only and is not regulatory approval, a LicenseCheck verification badge or the separate Certified Fuel Wholesaler™ credential.

How does the Member Referral Programme work?

Active Associate, Licensed and Commercial members earn 10% off their next FWA membership renewal for each new Licensed Wholesaler successfully referred using their unique FWA referral code shown in My FWA Benefits. The referred member must be approved, paid and activated. Credits may accumulate up to 100% of one next renewal and are non-cash.
