Membership orders use a short eligibility check rather than a separate application process. Checkout uses your FWA Customer Account for orders, invoices and billing. After the order, FWA verifies the relevant eligibility information and activates membership once verification and cleared payment are complete.

Designed for aspiring wholesalers, licence applicants, petroleum professionals and businesses preparing to understand or enter the wholesale market. Associate Membership focuses on education, industry orientation and a clear pathway toward Licensed Membership.

  • Quarterly Associate Member group Q&A for general sector, membership and development questions

  • Member Referral Programme: 10% off the next FWA membership renewal for each new Licensed Wholesaler successfully referred, up to 100% of one renewal

  • Upgrade credit: when an Associate obtains a qualifying wholesale licence and FWA approves an upgrade to Licensed Membership during the current term, the unused pro-rata portion of the R950 Associate fee may be credited against the Licensed Membership fee
  • Associate Member Portal access for the 12-month membership period

Important scope distinction: Associate Membership does not confirm that the member is a licensed, verified or compliant petroleum wholesaler. It does not include the Verified Wholesaler badge, annual DMPR information-submission assistance, annual wholesale licence-fee compliance assistance, the Licensed quarterly included short course or the Licensed FuelGuard discount. Those benefits begin only under the applicable Licensed Membership rules.

Activation remains subject to administrative verification, payment and the FWA membership rules and Code of Conduct.
